I found the staff extremely helpful both the front desk as well as the housekeepers. In addition, I enjoyed the pool one morning and the location is great -- walked to Ptown shops and restaurants in ten heart- healthy minutes.
That we were able to check in a little early and that there wasn't a lot of constant traffic.
The pool was very nice. The room was clean. The manager and several of his employees were friendly and helpful.
One of the employees was not gay friendly and made several comments about "sights" she saw in town. She even engaged other patrons. Why work in a community known for its gay population? The room smelled musty, even though it was cleaned daily. I thought the breakfast was sparse compared to other places I have stayed. This establishment was a bit farther from the center of town than I would have liked.
The location was good.
The aircon in the room was not good.
Convenience, relaxing, easy. Staff was accommodating. I liked that there was parking, refrigerators in room, pool, breakfast. I will return again
Rooms were always damp. I suspect mold is growing. Rooms were clean though
The location was fine, close to the main street and groceries.
The room we rented has a lot of humidity, the smell was really bad so we had to leave it opened for a while and buy some air spry. I am still washing my clothing to try to remove that smell.
It appears that they try at making the outside user friendly with shuffle board and a pool.
The antiquated frunishings, the abismal bathroom, and the fact that if you use the wrong outlet...you blow a fuse and you lose power for most everything in the room. The showerhead, really? You pay over $100 for a room and you get a $39.99/night shower! The TV...1970 what?
the place was clean and conveniently located. Staff were good especially in resolving the one problem that arose.
Our initially assigned room was very mildrew-musty smelling and we could not remain in after the first night. the hotel located us another room that was perfectly fine. They did so promptly on my asking and without any challenge or difficulty.
We enjoyed our stay, it was quiet and staff were helpful. We had late reservations and were delighted to be able to go at the last minute.
Water was actually 2 hot coming out of the tap. Did have to watch it so we didn't burn our hands while washing.
The pool, and the breakfast.
The vending machines were broken, the sheets weren't very clean and the mattress was so firm. The room smelled like mildew.
i liked the pool alot.
I didn't have a coffee maker that worked. I couldn't figure it out. THey did replace it. When I went down to the office at 7am to tell them, the first thing she told me was we're not open. Not too friendly. Okay. But could you have offered me a cup of the coffee you were making and I'd be happy to go back to my room. That kind of thing helps. In the room where I stayed, the a/c is in the back and you can't open the front windows which would have been nice and refreshing the nite I didn't need the a/c on. I have been by this hotel many times, first time I have stayed there. Not sure if I'll be back.
Cape Colony Inn was available on short notice - not so common in P-town - and clean. The room was good-sized.
There was minimal internet connectivity and only one channel worked on the tv. There was also no phone connectivity (at&t), which may not be their fault. When we spoke to the owner about the internet & cable issues, he said that there's nothing he can do "because Comcast has a monopoly", but that's simply not an adequate excuse. Almost certainly, he is either not buying the level of connectivity he needs for the size of the place, or is unwilling to deal with getting the service issues resolved, or both. Lack of tv and internet for 4 days was a bummer! We certainly paid enough to expect it to be as advertised. Also the patio lights went off an hour before the pool closed.
NOT in the heart of town. I'd rather be a little bit out away from the noise. Rooms were right there next to the parking spaces.
The staff were super friendly and ready to accomodate any of my requests.
The room had a definite "dampness" to it, had an odor akin to a carpet that had gotten wet recently and wasn't properly cleaned. It was made worse by the cost of the room. It cost way too much for what we got.
The room was spacious and had just about all the facilities needed for a comfortable short stay. The restaurant was fun and food was good.
Noise in the orridoors was disturbing. An internal door would help but also a little more respect from fellow guests would have been appreciated.
